Wilma Crites Newlon, 94, of Lexington, died Thursday, June 18, 2009 at The Mayflower.

She was born May 3, 1915 in Upshur Co., WV, a daughter of the late James and Iva Sandridge Crites.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Wilburn Crites and sister-in-law, Alice Crites.

Mrs. Newlon was a payroll clerk in the Finance Department for 10 years at Goodrich and 27 years with Goodyear Aerospace.

Surviving are her daughter, Sally Smith and husband, Ronald of Lexington; one granddaughter and one grandson; two sisters, Hilda King and husband, Bill of Elgin, IL and Ileana Williams and husband, Don of Tallmadge, OH.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, P. O. Box 948, Lexington, VA 24450.
