David Monroe Frazier., 84, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was born August 7, 1924 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late John H. and Rachel Ballard Frazier.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Sparky, Ira and John Wayne.

Mr. Frazier was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Clarice Julia Frazier; three children, Donna Frazier, Dana Frazier and David Frazier, all of Lexington; three sisters, Thelma Hall, Barbara Durham and Ecalean Entsminger, all of Lexington; three grandchildren, David Robey, Katie and Christopher Frazier; and a special canine companion, Danny.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Dr. Horace Douty officiating. There was no visitation at the funeral home. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the SPCA, 10 Animal Place, Lexington, VA 24450.
