Cherry Madelina Henson Scott, 68, of Buena Vista, died Monday, July 20, 2009 in Augusta Medical Center.

She was born November 26, 1940 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Curtis M. and Florence Armstrong Henson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Scott and a brother, Milton Henson.

Mrs. Scott was a member of Stone Brethren Church and was retired from Burlington Industries with 24 years of service.

Surviving are a daughter, Tamara S. Hickman and husband, Larry; a son, Jeffrey Lee Scott; a brother, Eric Henson, all of Buena Vista.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Rev. Butch Grow officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Bolling Grose and Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, VA.
