Lelia Frances Sorrells, 95, of Buena Vista, died Thursday, July 23, 2009 in Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

She was born May 23, 1914 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the Sadie Clark Brads.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Sorrells; a daughter, Dorothy Dressner; a son, Kenneth Sorrells; and a great granddaughter, Amanda Clark.

Surviving are three daughters, Thelma Cranston of Salem, Catherine Kerr of Staunton, and Delores Sorrells of Buena Vista; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2009 at the Irish Creek Cemetery with Minister Ken Kurpik officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, VA.
