Obituary for Mae Bennington Orange Mae Bennington Orange
Rockbridge County Native Dies At Friendship Manor

Mae Bennington Orange, 73, died Friday, July 31, 2009 in Friendship Manor.

She was born October 4, 1935 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late John Lafette Bennington and Sissy Virginia Hostetter Bennington.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Fred Orange.

Surviving are children, Freddie Orange, David Orange, Edith Orange, all of Kentucky, and Sheila Smith of Buchanan; four grandchildren; siblings, Rowena Higgins of PA, Isabelle Ayers of Big Island, John Bennington, Avis Bennington, Charles Bennington and Rufus Bennington, all of Lexington.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2009 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Riley officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacktown Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 Ð 8 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
