Obituary for Martha Keyes Duff Martha Keyes Duff
Worked With BV United Fund, March Of Dimes

Martha Keyes Duff, 58, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Sunday, August 2, 2009. She was born April 11, 1951 in Bath County, a daughter of Wanda C. Smals and the late James Edison Keyes.

She was a member of Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church. Martha was very involved in her community and her church.

She served on such boards as United Fund for Buena Vista and the March of Dimes.

She was very active in her church, such as being a former Sunday school teacher, prayer warrior and WIN director, where she was loved by many.

Surviving are her husband of 24 years, Wayne Duff; her step father, Charles "Buddy" Smals; daughters, Michele Clark and husband, Howie, Amanda Hood and husband, Brett; two sons, Alan Buzzard and wife, Shonna, Greg Buzzard and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Kainan, Jarrod, Caleb, Lexy, Logan, Kenton, Evan and Brendan Hood; brothers, Larry Keyes and wife, Cindy, John "Billy" Keyes and wife, Pam; sisters, Betty Trainer and husband, Marshall and Barbara Cranston; several nieces and nephews; special friends and church family members too numerous to name.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor W. A. Mills and Rev. David Bain officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church building fund or Buena Vista Fire Department. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at the church.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
