William Donald "Duck" Reid, 64, of Natural Bridge Station, died Monday, August 10, 2009 at the Augusta Medical Center.

He was born December 23, 1944 in Buchanan, a son of the late Thomas Reid and Bryant Shafer Reid.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn S. Reid; daughter, Pamela R. Camden and husband, Shannon of Glasgow; a son, Brian W. Reid of Bedford; three grandchildren: Chase, Tracey, and Chelsea; brothers, Paul and Michael Reid, both of Buchanan; and Joe Reid of Troutville; sisters, Patricia Murray, Linda Hayes and Joy Jones, all of Richmond; Susan Shelor of Covington and Jone Reid of North Carolina.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2009 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Pastor Nathan Philips officiating. Burial will follow at Roaring Run Cemetery. Friends may gather with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the funeral home.
