Roy Edward Entsminger Jr., 79, of Lexington, died Monday, August 17, 2009.

Born July 23, 1930 in Charlottesville, he was the son of the late Roy Edward Entsminger Sr. and Mary Falls Entsminger.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Sue Entsminger.

Mr. Entsminger was a member of the Staunton Moose Lodge and retired from Montgomery Ward.

Surviving are a daughter, Vickie L. Jones of Dry Fork, VA; two granddaughters, Alexandra H. L. Jones and Jennifer L. Eden; and a great grandson, Zachary Hillman.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the Stonewall Jackson Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Miles officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home and the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Special Olympics of Virginia, 11350 Random Hills Road, C140, Fairfax, VA 22030.

Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
