Frances Virginia Clark Garrett, 79, of Buena Vista, died Saturday, August 22, 2009.

Born May 1, 1930 in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Roy J. Clark and Buelah Coleman Clark.

She is also preceded in death by a brother, Franklin.

Frances is survived by her children, Vickie Mays, Bill Clark Curtis Smith, Greg Tomlin and Kim McCormick; fifteen grandchildren: Heather McCormick, Brooke McCormick, Megan McCormick, Rockie Clark, Gabe Clark, Delores Clark, Olivia Moore, Hunter Moore, Patrick Mays, Matthew Smith, Michael Smith, Max Smith; Jackie; Duane Smith; Mary Beth; one very special great grandcdaughter, Kadence Elizabeth Zollman "KadeBug"; many cousins, nieces and nephews; sisters, Frannie Russ, Lorraine Spence, Judy Hamilton; and a brother, Robert Clark.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Miles officiating. The family will receive friends at 364 Hillside Drive, Buena Vista, Virginia.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
