Joyce Bromley Proctor Mills, age 81, of The Golden Living Center, and formerly of Girard Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Sunday, August 23, 2009 at the nursing home.

She was born November 12, 1927 in Newport News, Virginia, a daughter of the late James and Mabelle Hewlett Proctor.

She was a typist for Cheatham Annex.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lisa Jean Odham.

She is survived by a daughter, Vicki Odham of New Kent; a grandson, Randy Odham of Clifton Forge, and two great grandchildren.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral services.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, Virginia, is in charge of arrangements.
