Brenda Gay Ross Cooper, age 54, of 612 Rose Avenue, Clifton Forge, died Saturday, September 19, 2009 at her residence.

She was born April 14, 1955 to Evelyn Jean Watson Ross and the late James Oliver Ross, Jr.

She was a homemaker and a former certified nursing assistant at The Woodlands and Golden Living Center, and was also involved in home health care.

She was affiliated with Main Street Baptist Church.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lavern Cooper in November of 2008.

She is survived by her mother, Evelyn W. Ross, a daughter, Tayler Ross; a sister, Joyce Dupree and husband, Andre; and a brother, Sherman Ross, all of West Haven, CT; a special aunt, Ethel Thompson of Clifton Forge; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday at 12:00 noon in Main Street Baptist Church, Clifton Forge with Reverend Matthew T. Barnette, Sr. officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
