Georgie Lee Flowers, 89, of Big Island, died Thursday, September 24, 2009.

Born October 17, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Clinebell and Bessie Clinebell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend George Lewis Flowers; a son, Lewis Edward Flowers; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Tolley; grandsons, Joseph and Wayne Tolley and William Goff, Jr.

She is survived by her four sons: Ralph Eugene Flowers and wife, Dottie of Vinton; Warren Ray Flowers and wife, Linda of Blue Ridge; Gary Lavon Flowers of Bedford County; Bernard Lynn Flowers and wife, Darlene of Buena Vista; one daughter, Glenda Diane Flowers Goff and husband, William (Billy) of Big Island; daughter-in-law, Ada Flowers of Blue Ridge; four brothers: Carl Clinebell of Roanoke; Harold and Westly Clinebell of Vinton; Raymond Clinebell of Blue Ridge; and one sister, Evelyn Hall of Vinton; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2009 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Glasgow Cemetery with the Rev. David Bain officiating. The family will receive friends at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2009.
