Obituary for Shirley Napier Bise Shirley Napier Bise
Dunlap High School Attendee Worked In Colonial Heights, Richmond and Wyoming

Shirley Napier Bise, 70, of 4110 Callaghan Circle, Covington, Virginia, died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at her home.

Mrs. Bise was born June 24, 1939, in Lewisburg, WV, a daughter of the late Bernard T. and Edna Counts Napier.

She attended Dunlap High School while growing up in the Callaghan area.

Shirley lived in Colonial Heights for many years and worked for the Dupont Corp and American Filtrona in Richmond. In 1977 she moved to Gillette, WY, where she worked for Wackenhut Security for several years. She returned to Virginia in 1986 to care for her elderly parents until their deaths.

Shirley was a natural caregiver and always put her family first. She will be greatly missed by all who have known her throughout her life.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her five children: Debra Lewis and her husband, Don of Bullock, NC; Sherry Bunch of Bracey, VA; Gary Bunch of Covington; Robert E. Croyle, Jr. and his wife, Patty of Coburn and Lisa Czapla and her husband, Doug of Gillette, WY; five granddaughters and four great granddaughters; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bernard and Alice Napier of Lewisburg, WV, Ray and Sherry Napier of Goodview and James and Brenda Napier of Covington; four sisters, Patricia Hooker and her husband, Jerry, and Nancy Gray, all of Covington; Lois Hazen of Waynesboro and Linda Kwarziany and her husband, Alexander of Wilmington, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.

Interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be cousins, Marshall Ray Gabbert, Larry Wayne Gabbert and Ernie Gabbert; sonsÐin-law, Don Lewis and Doug Czapla and nephews, Dale Napier, Kenny Napier and Robert Croyle, Sr.

Friends may pay their respects at anytime at Arritt Funeral Home. The family received friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.

Memorials: The family suggests that donations in Mrs. Bise's name be made to the Mountain Regional Hospice, P.O.Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.

The Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia, handled the arrangements.
