Lewis Allen (Chip) Wright, Jr., 66, of 100 Nicholas Drive, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Saturday morning, November 21, 2009 at his residence.

Mr. Wright was born March 22, 1943 in Alleghany County, a son of Charlotte Bowen Wright of Clifton Forge and the late Lewis Wright, Sr.

He was a former employee of the City of Covington.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Wilma Ferrel Wright of Clifton Forge; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chip and Carrie Wright of Covington and Chris and Elaina Wright of Clifton Forge; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sheryl and Elmer Baker,Jr. and Cynthia and Alan Ferris, all of Covington and Angie and Joe Coleman of Clifton Forge; ten grandchildren, Jamien Cole, Daniel Cole, Jessie Mathews, Angelia Downey, Katlyn Wright, Josh Coleman Madison Ferris, Samantha Wright, Alyssa Coleman and Zia Wright; and one great grandson, Andrew Lee Cole.

Mr. Wright's body has been cremated according to his wishes.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

His family will be at the residence of Chip and Carrie Wright at 210 North Marion Avenue in Covington, Virginia.
