Obituary for Lillian Smith Miller Lillian Smith Miller
She Was A Homemaker And Loved Taking Care Of Her Family

Lillian Smith Miller, 69, of 5004 Indian Draft Road, Covington, died, Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Brian Center in Low Moor.

She was born August 1, 1940 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Emmett and Eleanor Bennett Smith.

Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ray Smith.

Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Gerald R. Miller, of Covington; a son, Danny Miller and his wife, Phyllis, of White Sulphur Springs, WV; two stepdaughters, Debbie Hubbard Dudley of Covington and Robin Broughman and her husband, David, all of Covington; one grandson, Daniel Todd Miller; five stepgrandchildren; one sister, Myrtle Kimberlin, of Covington; three brothers, Emmett Smith and his wife, Diane, of Columbus, NJ, William (Bill) Smith and his wife, Francis, and Wayne Smith and Jan Ingram, all of Covington; one sister-in-law, Shirley Smith, of Lester, WV, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel in Covington with the Rev. Mark Leatherman officiating. The interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park. Friends may pay their respects at Arritt Funeral Home and the family will receive their friends Friday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Friday evening.
