Anna Anderson Gabbert of Covington, Virginia, died Monday, December 7, 2009 at the Woodlands Nursing Home in Clifton Forge.

Mrs. Gabbert was born in Caldwell, WV, a daughter of the late Marion P. Anderson, Sr. and Eva Lee Kincaid Martin Anderson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Orville Okey Gabbert in 1972 and also by three sisters and two brothers.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Ronald Jeffries of Covington; three grandchildren, Ronald Jeffries, Jr. of Covington, Angie Shinault and her husband, Rick, of Covington and Scott Jeffries and his wife, Deborah, of Mouth of Wilson; one great grandson, Cory Lee Shinault of Covington; two sisters, Kathleen Frye of Huntington, WV, and Althea Consentino of Boston, MA, and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Gabbert's body has been cremated.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials: The family suggests that donations in Mrs. Gabbert's name be made to the Covington Rescue Squad, 435 W. Hawthorne St., Covington, VA 24426.

The Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia, is in charge of arrangements.
