Ruby Mutispaugh Chitel, 90, of Buena Vista, formerly of Syracuse, NY died Friday, December 18, 2009 at Golden Living Center in Buena Vista.

Born April 27, 1919 in Buena Vista, she was a daughter of the late William David Mutispaugh and Catherine Rowsey Mutispaugh.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Chitel.

Mrs. Chitel was a member of the Lexington Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are two nieces, Claudine Hamilton of Buena Vista; Kathleen Floyd of Buchanan; six nephews, Kenneth Mutispaugh; John Mutispaugh; Carl Mutispaugh; Kevin Wayne Hamilton; Robert Scott Hamilton, all of Lexington; Terry Hamilton of Brownsburg and a special great niece, Tamara Hamilton of Roanoke.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow in Stonewall Jackson Cemetery with the Pastor Russ Barb officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
