Vanessa Losh Allison, 46, died early Monday, January 18, 2010 at her parent's home, 103 Gilpin Avenue, Covington, Virginia. She was born November 12, 1963 in Augusta County, a daughter of Roger and Dorothy Mae Wright Losh of Covington.

Vanessa was former employee of AMP, Inc in Mt. Sidney and also Rocco, Inc. in Harrisonburg.

She was a member of the Church of God in Staunton.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Rachael Brown of Covington; two sons, Benjamin and Elizabeth Lancaster of Cheyenne, WY and Joshua Brown of Melbourne, FL; a brother, Christopher Losh of Capron, VA; two uncles, Michael and Mellisa Sprague of Waynesboro and Houston Reese of Staunton; Two aunts, Geraldine Marshall and Betty and Roger Ralston, all of Staunton; four great uncles, Walter Wright; Abe Wright, Zeke Wright, and Denton Wright, all of Covington; two great aunts, Agnes Thomas and Sarah Ellen Fitzgerald, both of Grottoes; and a number of cousins.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel, Covington, Virginia.

Friends may pay their respects anytime at Arritt Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

The interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery. The family suggest that memorial donations may be made to Mountain Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
