Obituary for Seth Harlon Shepherd Seth Harlon Shepherd
Army Special Forces Veteran Was Employed By Columbia Gas Co.

Seth Harlon Shepherd, 49, of Lexington, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born December 26, 1960 in Lexington, he was a son of Wesley Harlon Shepherd and Donna Dixon Shepherd.

He served in the U. S. Army, 7th special forces group in Ft. Bragg, Central America and the Caribbean and received several achievement awards.

He was employed by Columbia Gas Company.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Shepherd is survived by his wife, Belinda Wright Shepherd; three sons, Nathaniel Joseph Shepherd, Forest Harlon Shepherd, and Benjamin Wesley Shepherd; two step daughters, Samantha Mason and Mikala Mason; two sisters, Laura Shepherd Shiley and husband, Matthew and Lisa Shepherd Aulbach and husband, John; niece, Kara Aulbach; and nephews, Josh Aulbach, Zeb and Ethan Shiley.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. Michael Pettry and Rev. Gentry Hinojosa officiating. Burial will follow in Falling Springs Presbyterian Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity, Natural Bridge & Glasgow Food Pantry or Rockbridge Area Transportation Service (RATS). The family will receive friends from 4 Ð 6 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2010 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.

The Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory will be handling the arrangements.
