Harold Franklin Burch, 75, of Buena Vista, died, Monday, January 25, 2010 at his home.

Born July 17, 1934 in Virginia, he was the son of the late Charlie Burch and Annie Vest Lilly.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Oyler Burch; two step-sons, William Oyler and Thomas Oyler; one brother, Clinton Burch; two sisters, Margaret Seelke and Glenna Burch; step-mother, Ruby Berry Burch; and one step-grandchild.

Harold was a member of the Stone Brethren Church in Buena Vista and retired from Virginia Power after 39 years of service.

Surviving are one step-son, Wayne Oyler of Lexington; two sisters, Gladys Hart; Mattie Belle Bergener, both of Rockbridge Baths; one brother, H.L. Burch of Altavista, VA; five step-grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place 11 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Bolling, Grose, and Lotts Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Wyatt Mays officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, VA.
