Obituary for Nannie (Arlene) Staton Fox Nannie (Arlene) Staton Fox
Retired From Burlington Industries After 50 Years Of Service

Nannie (Arlene) Staton Fox, 78, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born July 27, 1931 in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late Maxwell E. Staton and Nannie Lewis Staton.

Arlene was a member of the First Brethren Church and was retired from Burlington after fifty years of service.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lourena Staton Hamm of Amherst and one brother, M.P. Staton of Buena Vista.

Surviving are her husband, Houston David Fox of Buena Vista; four sons, Nelson Fox and wife, Pat; Ricky Fox; Tony Fox and wife, Sharon, all of Buena Vista; Lenny Fox and wife, Heather of Lexington; three daughters, Loretta Alouf and husband, Dr. Donald Alouf of Roanoke; Ruby Grow and husband, Gwynn; Susan Wilson and husband, Chris, both of Buena Vista; four brothers, William Staton and wife, Darlene; Roger Staton and wife, Pam; Vernon Staton, all of Buena Vista; W.K. Staton of Amherst; three sisters, Thelma Staton Smith of Botetourt; Shirley Staton Reid and husband, Ronnie of Buena Vista; Deloris Staton Roberts and husband, Robbie of Montana; nine grandchildren, Melissa Tomlin, Matthew Grow, Nelson Fox, Jr., Tom Fox and wife, Kristin, Zachary Fox, Tanner Fox, Andrew Wilson, Justin Wilson, and Elijah Fox.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Bolling Grose & Lotts Chapel with the Rev. Butch Grow officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at the home, 350 E. 29th St., Buena Vista, Virginia, at any time.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Buena Vista Rescue Squad 2039 Sycamore Avenue, Buena Vista VA 24416.
