Obituary for Jerry Winters Dotson Jerry Winters Dotson
U.S. Forest Service Employee Was Vietnam Air Force Veteran

Jerry Winters Dotson, 61, of 4824 Indian Draft Road, Covington, Virginia, died Saturday, February 13, 2010 at his home.

Mr. Dotson was born May 28, 1948 in Alleghany County, a son of Dorothy Nuckoles Dotson of Covington and the late Henry W. Dotson.

He was employed with the U. S. Forest Service at the Covington Ranger Station and also at the Natural Bridge Ranger Station. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War with the U. S. Air Force. He was an active member of the Alleghany Highlands YMCA.

Surviving in addition to his mother, are his brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Judy Dotson of Clifton Forge; his sister, Lorrie Tucker of Covington; his nephew, Jason Jones of Covington; his niece, Dodie Woodard of Radford; and two great nephews, Jack Woodard and Luke Woodard both of Radford.

The funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn Wright officiating.

The family will receive their friends for one hour prior to service time at Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia.

Interment will be made in Fletcher Chapel Cemetery.
