Obituary for Helen Buzzard Ryder Helen Buzzard Ryder
Was Employed By The Homestead For Over 30 Years

Helen Buzzard Ryder, 60, of 152 Ashwood Drive, Hot Springs, Virginia, died Saturday, February 13, 2010 in Alleghany Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Ryder was born September 13, 1949, in West Virginia, a daughter of Lillie Lee Buzzard of Hot Springs and the late Arnold "Pink" Buzzard.

She was employed by The Homestead Resort in the Accounting Department for over 30 years and had also served as a Hostess at the Country Cafe.

She was a member of Eden United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her daughter, Cindra Ryder of Harrisonburg; her son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Melissa Ryder of Hot Springs; her sister, Alice Ryder of Hot Springs; her brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Diane Buzzard of Sacramento, CA; six grandchildren, Lacassa Pritt of Clifton Forge, Levi Pritt of Covington, Caitlin Ryder of Stanardsville, and Jaden Ryder, Christian Jessee and Skyler Brookman, all of Hot Springs; one great grandson, Dalton Armentrout of Clifton Forge.

In accordance with her wishes, her body will be cremated.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia, with the Rev. David George officiating.

The family will receive friends following the funeral service at Arritt Funeral Home.
