Obituary for Mary Trevey Mays Mary Trevey Mayst
Glasgow Presbyterian Church Member Was Former Leggett Employee

Margaret Trevey Mays, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2010.

She was born in Glasgow, Virginia, November 7, 1921 to the late Herbert and Mary Trevey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl "Curley" Mays; brother, Francis Trevey; sisters; Virginia Trevey, Tempie Trevey Wirkus, and Jesse Trevey Ayres; and brothers and sisters-in-law.

Mrs. Mays was retired from Leggett's (Belks) Department Store.

She was a longtime member of Glasgow Presbyterian Church.

Left to cherish her memory are sisters-in-law, Dorothy Mays Wills, Virginia Beach, and Hazel Mays, Lexington; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Ms. Nancy Wade and her staff at Havenwood Nursing Facility and Rockbridge Area Hospice.

A funeral service will be held Friday, February 26th at 2 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. Judy Weger officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers Street, Lexington, VA 24450.

Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
