Obituary for Naomi Ella Noel Hostetter Naomi Ella Noel Hostetter
88 Year-Old Was Collierstown Presbyterian Church Member

Naomi Ella Noel Hostetter, 88, of Lexington, died Monday, March 1, 2010.

Born April 7, 1921 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Nathan Van Noel and Lucy Sampson Noel.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Herman Eugene Hostetter and a son-in-law, James Wade Ballard.

Naomi was a member of the Collierstown Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Ernestine Ballard of Lexington; three sons, Arthur Hostetter and wife, Darlene of Lexington; Burnett Hostetter and wife, Stella of Fairfield; Roger Hostetter and wife, Phyllis of Buena Vista; one brother, Van Buren Noel of Covington; seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John "Skip" Hastings and the Rev. Benjamin W. Dowling, III officiating. Burial will follow in Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Harrison Funeral Home. The family suggests that contributions to be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, P.O. Box 948 Lexington, VA or a church of your choice.
