William Lloyd (Billy) Barger, 76, of Inwood, West Virginia, died Monday, February 8, 2010 in Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, Maryland.

He was born in Rockbridge County on June 13, 1933, a son of the late William Barger and Mary Julia Ferguson Barger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Minnick; a brother, Mack Barger; and a half brother, Charles L. Barger.

He was a retired self-employed contractor in West Virginia.

Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn Barrett of Martinsburg, WV; and two sons: Chris Barger of Martinsburg, WV, and Preston Barger of Charles Town, WV; a sister, Ruby Collins of Lexington; eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

A funeral was conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, Winchester, Virginia, by Rev. Ken Tice. Interment was made in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
