Edward D. McCormick, 50, of Lexington, died Saturday March 20, 2010 in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born January 6, 1960 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of Roy S. McCormick, Jr. and Sylvia R. McCormick.

Mr. McCormick was a courier for a computer company.

He was a graduate of Rockbridge High School and received his BS degree in Communications from Freed-Hardeman College, Henderson, TN.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Dorothy F. McCormick of Lexington and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Pastor Roger Powell and Page Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
