Evelyn Stegner Taylor, 81, of Buena Vista, went to heaven Sunday, March 21, 2010 to be with her husband Charles D. Taylor, Sr. and daughter Maxine Spangler.

Born August 29, 1928 in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Philip Stegner and Anna Senf Stegner.

Surviving are four sons, Charles D. Taylor Jr. and wife, Betty of Richmond; Kenneth Taylor Sr. and friend, Cathy; Ricky Taylor and wife, Kaye; Thomas Taylor and friend, Melissa, all of Buena Vista; one daughter Janice Walker and husband, Don of Buena Vista; seven grandchildren, Dianne Taylor, Karen Harris, Michelle Roberts, Randy T. Brown, Melissa Spangler, Jonathan Taylor, and Crystal Clark; six great grandchildren, Michael Parker, Matthew & Brett Harris, Courtney & Haleigh Roberts and Taylor Clark; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Taylor and Francis Henson.

Special thanks to Dr. Dubit, Rockbridge Area Hospice, The Hope Cancer Center, and a special nurse Becky Cutlip. Our sincere thanks and love to Melissa St. Clair for the love and devotion shown to our mother during her illness.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Bolling Grose & Lotts Chapel with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, VA.
