Stephen Whitmore Moran, 45, of Lexington, died Sunday, March 21, 2010.

Born May 29, 1964 in Lexington, he was the son of the late David W. Moran and Virginia Cash Moran.

He was a member of the Lexington Presbyterian Church, and worked as a supervisor for the Department of Transportation for over 17 years.

Stephen was an outdoorsman, a man of many projects, and was willing to help his friends, neighbors, and put his needs aside.

Surviving are his wife, Ann Moses of Lexington; one step-daughter, Margaret Frances Alderson; one sister, Margaret Green and husband, Gary, both of Lexington; one niece, Amanda Lynn Green.

A funeral service will be held conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. R.W. Swisher officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
