Joseph George Carol Bouchard, 88 of Natural Bridge, Virginia, died Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

He was born August 17, 1921, in Maine, son of the late Mack Bouchard and Celina B. Bouchard.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lexington.

Mr. Bouchard served both in the U.S. Army and Air Force, and retired as a Master Sergeant.

He then worked at VMI until 1983 when he again retired.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mary Conner Bouchard, and a grandchild, Joshua Mohler, four brothers and one sister.

He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Isemann and husband, Will of Coopersburg, Pa; Judy Mohler and husband, Hans of Lexington; three sons, Charlie Bouchard and wife, Marie of Natural Bridge, Steve Bouchard and wife, April of Colorado Springs, CO; George Bouchard and wife, Cristina of Calhoun, GA; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Joe D'Aurora and Rev. Nathan Phillips officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday and a Rosary service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home, Buena Vista.
