Logger Enjoyed Outdoor Sports

Mr. Randall Keith Anderson, age 60, of 1025 N. Alleghany Avenue, Covington, Virginia, died Thursday, April 1, 2010, at his residence.

He was the husband of Stefanie Ruble Anderson.

Mr. Anderson was born February 28, 1950 in Bath County, the son of the late Roy Wanamaker Anderson and Edna Gilbert Anderson.

An avid outdoorsman, he was employed as a logger and enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife, Stefanie Ruble Anderson, Mr. Anderson is survived by a daughter, Cristin Lewis; two step-children, Summer Ruble and Skye Ruble; two grandchildren, Dekker Lewis and Lexi Lewis; two brothers, Wayne Anderson of Covington, Gordon Anderson of Marlinton, WV; two half brothers, Clarence Anderson of Covington and Roy Anderson, Jr. of Minnehaha Springs, WV; two sisters, Cheryl Persinger and husband, Robert of Hot Springs Road and Millie Jones and husband, Bobby of Covington; one half sister, Anigail Terry of Bolar; three nephews, Tyler Persinger, Brian Balser, Bailey Jones; two nieces, Taylor Persinger, Ashlei Balser; two special friends, Sherry Broughman and Brenda Ryder.

In addition to his parents, Roy Wanamaker Anderson and Edna Gilbert Anderson, Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by two half brothers, Clyde Anderson and William "Bill" Anderson.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 5, 2010, from the Chapel of Loving Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Persinger, Brian Balser, Tyler Persinger, Brad McPhearson, Wayne Colvin, Chris Craft and Jerry "Tom" Forbes.

The family received friends on Sunday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Mountain Regional Hospice Volunteer Fund, P.O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
