Ruby Ayers Farrow, 87, of Henderson, North Carolina, formerly of Rockbridge County, died Friday, April 9, 2010 at the home of her daughter, Joyce Maynard.

born February 8, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Chris Ayers and Lizzie Bobbitt Ayers.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Dixon Farrow.

Mrs. Farrow was a member of the Oxford Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her children: Helen Farrow Keith of Buchanan; Barbara Farrow Miller of Lexington; Mary McFaddin and Joyce Farrow Maynard, both of Henderson, NC; and William Kenneth Farrow of Staunton; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the Harrison Funeral Home with Rev. Barton Hellmuth officiating. Burial will follow at the Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. Friends may gather with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
