Jeffrey Wayne Shifflett, 48, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Friday, April 9, 2010 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born February 27, 1962 in Lexington, he was a son of the late Barbara Ann Meeks and Joseph Shifflett.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda Coleman of Buena Vista; his only son, Brian Wayne Shifflett of Buena Vista; two brothers, Joseph Lee Shifflett of Florida and David Reid Shifflett of Monterey; three sisters, Shelby Jean Arey of Bedford; Wanda Gay Woodward and Julia Darlene Woodward, both of Buena Vista; fifteen nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey loved dearly all eight of the grandchildren.

We love and miss you, Jeffrey. You were taken from us too soon.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at the Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1702 Chestnut Avenue, Buena Vista. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
