Obituary for Virginia Elizabeth Roye Creasey Virginia Elizabeth Roye Creasey
Homemaker Was Selma Church Of The Brethren Member

Virginia Elizabeth Roye Creasey, of 102 Sugartree Lane, Covington, Virginia, and formerly of 1400 Richmond Street, Selma, died Monday, April 12, 2010 at The Brian Center in Low Moor.

Born in Bedford County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Florence Lazenby Roye.

She was a homemaker throughout her life and was a member of Selma Church of the Brethren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond James Creasey in 1998, a daughter, Kristal Bailey Davis, two sisters, Lelia Roye and Frances Townley, and four brothers, Archie Roye, Charles Roye, Edward Roye and Clinton Roye.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lynn Creasey of Rich Patch; three grandchildren, Shannon Wells and husband, Greg of Salem, Charles Michael Bailey and wife, Sara of Stafford and Paul Raymond Creasey of Lexington; three great grandchildren, McKenna, Nathan, and Aaron; and a number of loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Mr. Leonard Burks officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Nicely Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Mike and Lynn Creasey, 102 Sugartree Lane, Covington, VA. Her body will be cremated following the service. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Selma Volunteer Fire Department, P. O. Box 124, Selma, VA 24474.
