Edward Dawson Ogden, 78, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Thursday, May 6, 2010 at his home.

Born October 21, 1931, in Buena Vista, the son of the late Zack Ogden and Elsie Armstrong Lawhorn.

Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Hartless Ogden, and two sons, Danny and Shane Ogden.

Surviving are three daughters, Shirley & Jim McKinney of Johnson City, TN; Vickie & Mark Carter; Deborah & Greg Lynn both of Buena Vista.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2010 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Rev. Butch Grow officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Bolling, Gross & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, VA.
