Dennis Coffey, 48, of Buena Vista, Virginia, went to be with the Lord, on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Augusta Health Center in Fishersville, VA.

Born April 19, 1962 known as (Ho-Bo), he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorothy Painter, John Potter and step grandfather, Bill Painter.

Dennis was a gifted athlete at PMHS and enjoyed football, computers, books, and was an author.

Surviving are his mother, Nancy Coffey of Buena Vista; sisters, Brenda Slagle and husband, Terry;, and Sabrina Banks, both of Buena Vista; Louella Fitzgerald of Roanoke; one brother, James Coffey of Waynesboro; one beloved aunt & friend, Becky Sorrells of Buena Vista; three nephews, Bobby Slagle, Billy Fitzgerald, Jesse Fitzgerald, Jr. and Dillon Gibson; three nieces, Alisha Slagle, Sasha Banks, and Tyler Banks; two great nephews and one great niece.

Dennis loved spending time with his family and friends and will be missed, but never forgotten. A graveside service was conducted 11 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2010 at Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Clark officiating.
