Obie Lloyd Ruff, Jr., 69, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Monday May 17, 2010 at Benjamin Borden Health Care Center in Lexington.

Born May 19, 1940 in Buena Vista, he was a son of the late Obie L. Ruff, Sr. and Gladys Vest Ruff.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, E. Jane Ruff.

Surviving are a daughter, Kristi Ruff, and a son, Kevin Ruff, both of Rockbridge County; one granddaughter and one grandson; and the mother of his children, Joyce C. Ruff; a sister, Peggy R. Wilson of Kill Devil Hills, NC; a brother, Daniel L. Ruff, of Waynesboro.

Burial will be private.
