Donald Adam Branham of Buena Vista, Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 2, 2010.

Don was born on November 10, 1932, in Denver, Colorado, to the late Adam and Janet Branham.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery.

He graduated from Galt High School, in Galt, Mo., in 1950. He attended Trenton Junior College and graduated from the University of Missouri with a Masters degree in both accounting and statistics. While attending the university, he received a commission in the United States Naval Reserve. He served as an auditor for the Navy until he was honorably discharged as a LT JG.

Don retired from Modine Manufacturing after 22 years of service as an accountant, plant manager, and operations manager.

He was a member of the Lexington Baptist Church, an honorary member of the Buena Vista Rescue Squad, and served on the school board and planning commission in Buena Vista.

He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Ada; his children, Michael and Robin Branham, of Charlotte, N.C., Sandra and Pres Manuel, of Buena Vista, Va., and Bruce and Betsy Branham, of Fredericksburg, Va.; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Michael Wilburn officiating. Burial followed in Green Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Lexington Baptist Church Building Fund or to the Buena Vista Rescue Squad.
