Betty Jane Wood, 63, of Vesuvius, Virginia, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010.

Born February 21, 1947, she was a daughter of Lois Marie Wilkerson Coleman and the late James D. Coleman.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce A. Coleman and a brother, James A. Coleman.

Surviving in addition to her mother, are her husband, Floyd H. Wood; sons, Jesse C. Wood and girlfriend, Barbara A. Dively, Jeffrey S. Wood and wife, Christine, and Floyd Wes Wood and wife, Katie; three sisters, Regina S. Clark, Linda G. McCoy and Betty (Boo) L. Tyree; eleven grandchildren and one on the way; one great grandchild and two on the way; thirteen nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2010 at Irish Creek Cemetery with Rev. Wyatt Mays officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, VA.
