Obituary forJames Caldwell Lam, Sr. James Caldwell Lam, Sr.
Lexington Lions Club Member Attended The Lexington Presbyterian Church

James Caldwell Lam, Sr., 94, of Lexington, Virginia, died Thursday, June 17, 2010.

Born February 2, 1916, in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late James W. Lam and Mamie Pultz Lam.

Mr. Caldwell was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Campbell Lam; a son, James C. Lam, Jr. and his sister, Frances Lam Chorey.

As a long term citizen of the Lexington community, he was a member of the Lexington Presbyterian Church and a member of the Lexington Lions Club.

Surviving are one daughter, Debbie Tinsley and husband, John of Raleigh, NC; one son, Robert C. Lam and wife, Maureen of Oakton, VA; two brothers, Wilfred Lam of Winter Park, FL and Kenneth Lam of Derwood, MD; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. William Klein officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 at Harrison Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Lexington Presbyterian Church Lam Hand Bell Choir, 120 South Main Street, Lexington, VA 24450.
