Mrs. Mary Ellen Davis Jonas, age 95, formerly of 4613 Indian Draft Road, Covington, Virginia, died Monday, June 28, 2010, at Alleghany Regional Hospital, Low Moor.

She was the wife of the late Payton W. Jonas.

Mrs. Jonas was born November 20, 1914 in Wythe County, the daughter of the late Fred B. Davis and Reathy Henley Davis.

Mrs. Jonas is survived by two sons, William "Bill" Jonas and wife, Becky of Covington and Eddie B. Jonas and wife, Sandra of Abingdon; four grandchildren, Ginger Jonas Largen of Abingdon, William "Billie" Jonas of Herndon, Jonathan B. Jonas of Marion, Terrance "Toby" Jonas of Clifton Forge; and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and are being handled by Loving Funeral Home.
