Mary Inez Cauthern, 97, of Lexington, Va., died Friday, July 2, 2010, at Doctors Community Hospital, Lanham, MD.

She was born September 29, 1912, in Lexington, the daughter of the late Nathan and Pauline Morrison.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Leslie H. Cauthern, Sr.

She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Greta Garrett of Bowie, MD, Eva Phelps and Pauline Woolfolk of Upper Marlboro, MD, and Leslie Cauthern, Jr. of Lexington; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted on Friday, July 9th at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lexington. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
