Obituary for James Marvin Wright James Marvin Wright
Korean War Veteran Owned J &M Fiberglass Repair

Mr. James Marvin Wright, age 73, of 217 Wade Drive, Covington, Virginia, died Saturday July 10, 2010 at Alleghany Regional Hospital. He was the husband of Jean Spicer Wright.

He was born at Martinsville, Virginia on July 18, 1936, the son of James Roy Wright and Nannie Spencer Wright Shaugh.

Mr. Wright was a graduate of Martinsville High School and served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.

He was employed for 32 years at the Tultex Corporation and later owned and operated J & M Fiberglass Repair until his retirement in 2009.

Mr. Wright and wife, Jean, moved to the Covington area in 2007 and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was very active serving his church as Deacon and was on building and grounds committee.

He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his wife and their cats.

In addition to his wife, Jean Spicer Wright, he is survived by one brother, Douglas Wayne Wright of Martinsville; one nephew: Gregory Wayne Wright of Martinsville; 1 great nephew and 1 great niece.

A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m Tuesday evening at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. William "Bill" Hartsfield officiating. Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Roselawn Cemetery in Martinsville, Va.

The family suggests that memorial tributes in the form of contributions to Temple Baptist Building Fund or Scholarship Fund, 300 Stratton Street, Covington VA 24426.
