Worked With Maintenance Department At Douthat State Park

Donald Reese (Donnie) or (Bully) Wilhelm, Jr., age 55, of 4609 Longdale Furnace Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Michael Seldomridge, 406 Craig Ave, Covington.

Donnie was born December 23, 1954 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, to Donald R. Wilhelm, Sr. and the late Merle Knick Wilhelm.

He was employed in the maintenance department of Douthat State Park.

He loved hunting, fishing, and NASCAR, and was an enduring fan of the late Dale Earnhart, Sr.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela K. Wilhelm.

He is survived by his father Donald Wilhelm, Sr. and girlfriend, Darlene Brown of Clifton Forge; and by two sisters, Connie Snook and husband, Jerry of Clifton Forge, and Linda W. Seldomridge and husband, Michael "Mike" of Covington; a number of cousins, including special cousin, Janie Brackenridge; an uncle and aunt, Ted and Phyllis Wilhelm; a niece, Amanda Michelle Snead and fiance, Bert Hoke of Clifton Forge; a nephew, Anthony Wayne "Tony" Snead of Clifton Forge; special friends, Junior and Cathryn Dunbar and their daughters; and his guardian protector and Linda's pet, "Stinker".

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is in charge of arrangements.
