Obituary for Cleo Wickline Gunter Cleo Wickline Gunter
Low Moor Homemaker Was West Virginia Native

Cleo Wickline Gunter, age 76, of 2723 Maldon Street, Low Moor, Virginia, died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at her residence.

She was born March 12, 1934 in Meadow Bridge, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Garnett and Clara Gwinn Wickline.

She was a homemaker throughout her life, and loved spending time with her family. She also loved caring for her flower gardens.

Mrs. Gunter was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Lee Gunter in September 2009, a grandson, Chad Ellis Tabor, 2 sisters and 7 brothers.

She is survived by seven children: Robin Simpson and her husband, George, of Low Moor; Bobby Gunter and his wife, Patty, of Clarksville, TN; Billy Gunter and his wife, Lisa, of Elliston, VA; Ann Potter and special friend, Clay Neff, of Clifton Forge; Lee Gunter and his wife, Connie, of Covington; Jeff Gunter and his wife, Carrie, of Low Moor; and Veneta Dingus and her husband, Kester, of Covington; two brothers, L.C. Wickline and his wife, Shirley, of Covington, and Harlan Wickline and his wife, Wanda, of Lewisburg, WV; seventeen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews, as well as many close and caring friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday from the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, with the Reverend Bill Gilliland officiating. Active pallbearers will be grandsons of Mrs. Gunter. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Nicely Funeral Home.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in her memory to the Mountain Regional Hospice Volunteers P.O. Box 637 Clifton forge, VA 24422.
