Sandy William Smith, 60, of Lexington, Virginia, died Thursday, July 29, 2010.
Born December 29, 1949 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Calvin Leo Smith and Lucille Smith.
He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #1499 and served in the U. S. Army for 7 years.
Mr. Smith attended Church of God of Prophesy.
Surviving are his wife, Eva Roberts Smith; a son, Christopher Lee Smith of Arlington, VA; six brothers; and three sisters. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2010 in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens with Rev. McDaniel officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, VA.
