Rosa Lee Coleman Painter, 81, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Thursday, August 4, 2010.

Born October 21, 1928 in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Lindsey and Pearl Curry Coleman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Elwood Painter.

Surviving are her children, Jean Pooley and Georgie Adkison and husband, Doyle of Buena Vista; four grandchildren, Aaron, Chris and Jeremy Pooley of Buena Vista and Donnie Perkins of Covington; two great grandchildren, McKenzie and Alex Perkins; two brothers, Claude Coleman of Lexington, Howard Coleman of Amherst; one sister, Doris Hartless of Amherst.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ben Saunders officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2010.
