Former Covington Resident Dies In Georgia

Nellie Tittle Loudermilk, 96, of Pooler, GA, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the Hospice Savannah in Savannah, GA.

Mrs. Loudermilk was a former resident of Beverly Street in Covington.

She was born November 17, 1913, at Hematite in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Samuel Clarence and Virgie Lee Long Tittle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Lacy Loudermilk in 1990; three sisters, Pat Martinko, Marie Choklakian and Daisy Meadows; and a nephew, Joe Victrelli, who was raised in her home.

Mrs. Loudermilk was an employee of the former Industrial Rayon Corp. plant in Covington.

She was a longtime member of McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church and of the Women's Circle of the church.

Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Dickson and her special friend, Richard Scanlon, of Pooler, GA; three granddaughters, Sue Spear and her husband, Mitch, Kathy South and her husband, David and Diane Kenny and her husband, Robert, all of Savannah, GA; two great grandchildren, Laci Morgan and her husband, Chris, and Donnie Wolfe and his wife, Kendall, all of Savannah, GA; two great great grandchildren, Taylor Morgan and Trenton Morgan; and several nieces and nephews including Frank "Sonny" Easton of Covington, who was her caregiver until she moved to Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Gary Marshall officiating.

Interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park.

Visitation: Friends may pay their respects at any time at Arritt Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
