Rosetta Marie Jackson, 77, of Lexington, Virginia, died Thursday August 19, 2010 at The Benjamin Borden Health Center.

She was born October 8, 1932 in Covington, Va., a daughter of the late Robert D. Spencer and Margaret Pegram Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton E. Jackson.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by four daughters, Sandra White and Linda Wooding, both of Lexington; Peggy A. Jackson, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Angela M. Jackson, of Farmville, Va. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Rosetta Marie Jackson was a homemaker and member of The New Hope Church of God in Christ.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday August 24, 2010, at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Superintendent Elder Ronald A. Watson and Elder Donald E. Conner Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

Contributions may be made to The New Hope Church of God Christ, P.O. Box 4625, Lexington, Va. 24450. The family will receive friends Monday August 23, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the New Hope Church of God in Christ where Mrs. Jackson was co-founder.
