Douglas Glenn (Doug) Jeffries, age 30, of 1212 Donovan Street, Selma, Virginia, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at his residence.

He was born November 1, 1979 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to Jerry Allen Jeffries, Sr. and Violet Wright Jeffries.

He was a 1997 graduate of Alleghany High School and a laborer for the Clifton Forge Public Works Department.

He loved music, playing guitar, and spending time with his wife and children.

He is survived by his wife, Stacy Marie Jeffries; daughters, Makayla Joy Jeffries and Loriza Marie Hull, and a son, Taylor Allen Jeffries, all of Selma; parents, Jerry and Violet Jeffries of Clifton Forge; two brothers, Jerry Allen Jeffries, Jr. and Katherine of Winchester, and Michael W. Jeffries and wife, Robin of Eagle Rock; and two nephews, Matthew Aaron Jeffries and Jacob Alexander Jeffries.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Bishop Joe Ray Friend and Reverend W. Pembroke Hall officiating. Interment will take place in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Active Pallbearers will be Matthew Jeffries, Boyd Clark, Clyde Childs, William Paxton, Barry Balser, and Larry Hipes. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Wade and Doug's co-workers for the town of Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Jerry and Violet Jeffries, 1402 Linden Ave, Clifton Forge, VA.
